Answers to common questions, and a way to reach us.
Does BillsPaid connect to my bank?
No, by design. You enter your bills once and BillsPaid handles the math. No logins, no credentials, nothing to breach.
Do I have to open a separate bills account?
No. The dedicated bills account is the system we recommend, but if you pay bills from your main account, choose simple mode during setup (or in Settings) and BillsPaid works as a clean bill tracker: same bills, due dates, check-offs, and history, without the transfer math.
Where is my data stored?
On your device, and, if you're signed into iCloud, in your own iCloud account, which syncs your iPhone and Mac automatically. We run no servers and cannot see your data. See the privacy policy.
How do I move data between devices?
Sign into the same iCloud account on both devices and sync is automatic. You can also export a JSON backup from Settings and import it anywhere.
I deleted something by accident. Can you recover it?
We can't, because we never have your data. Check Settings → Export backup regularly if you want restore points, and keep the backup files somewhere safe.
What does "end the month at $0" mean?
Your bills account should hold exactly what your bills need: nothing more, nothing less. When every bill is paid and the account reads $0.00, the month is done and nothing leaked.
